Girlfriends Growth Groups
Want to grow in your relationship with God and study His Word while connecting with other girlfriends at Hope? This fall we are excited to offer 2 study options!
Practical Christian Living - Join with others in a discipleship study designed to help you develop your personal devotional life and grow in your love for God and for others through Bible study, sharing, and prayer. Part I of this study will be this fall, and Part II will begin in January 2011. This study is recommended as the first step of the spiritual journey among girlfriends of Hope Church. A Woman of Wisdom - Discover the qualities and characteristics of women of wisdom with the book of Proverbs as you study biblical women who embraced or rejected God's wisdom - women who will make the proverbs come alive for you. The Fall 2010 studies begin the week of September 12 and conclude before Thanksgiving. Registration for the studies begins August 22. Girlfriends Getaway
Plan now to attend our 2nd annual Girlfriends of Hope Retreat, Friday-Saturday, October 15-16, 2010, at Beulah Beach Camp & Conference Center in Vermilion, Ohio. Our speaker will be Maureen Zappala. Maureen is an award-winning speaker, junior high Sunday School teacher, and decorator-wanna-be. However, her true passion is teaching God's word and sharing what He has done in her life. With great energy and animation, she uses humor, scripture, and anecdotes from real life to challenge women to live a more God-focused life, clinging to His promises even in the face of great trials and tragedy. Her own life story will encourage and inspire women of all ages, pointing them to Jesus Christ, the source of healing, hope and purpose. Maureen lives in Hinckley with her husband Jim and 2 children, Ross & Gina.
Girls Night Out
We are looking forward to a special Christmas "Girls Night Out" on Tuesday, December 7 with Barb Meier as our speaker. Circle the date -- and plan to invite your friends! Tickets will be available for purchase later this Fall.
Hands of Hope
Do you crochet, knit, or quilt? Do you have a heart for prayer and comfort for others? Our ministry members meet together on a regular basis to pray and create baby blankets and prayer shawls for those in our church family who need encouragement and comfort. If you want to share your skill or are interested in learning more, contact Pam Schuck at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. If you have a heart to give, Hands of Hope welcomes donations of fabric and yarn.
Meals MinistryThrough a team of wonderful volunteers, our Meals Ministry provides meals to the people of Hope Church in times of need...after the birth of a baby, after surgery or hospitalization, or during times of crisis. The Meals Ministry is an excellent way to meet other people from church and make a difference in someone’s life. In times of need, a friendly face and a meal are true gifts! How does it work? The Meals Ministry Coordinator, Sharon Klaehn, is made aware of a need, either through a direct request for help or through referral. Volunteers are then contacted and asked to provide a meal (home cooked or purchased) and deliver it to the recipient’s home. If you would like to join the Meals Ministry Team or would like more information, please contact the Hope Church office or Sharon Klaehn at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
