Girlfriends Retreat
Fall Women's Retreat at Beulah Beach, Vermilion, OH: Weekend of October 7 - 8, 2011 (sign-ups start August 27)
I will remember the deeds of the LORD; I will remember your miracles of long ago. - Psalm 77:11
During this year's Girlfriends Retreat, we will reflect on our own spiritual victories and identify them as "Memories of Hope". By doing so, we are glorifying God for His Hand in our lives and building a deeper relationship with Him. Our speaker this year is Charlotte Stemple.
When is the last time you took a weekend away from the busyness of life to allow God to speak directly to your heart? Join us for a weekend of:
- Spiritual refreshment & challenge that comes from digging into God's Word - Uplifting worship in music - Opportunities to connect with other women through large & small group sessions, mealtimes, organized activities & free-time fun - Time of personal reflection and prayer - Relaxation with no meal to cook or dishes to scrub

Global Girlfriends
Each Girlfriends Growth Group changes the world by praying for one of our "Global Girlfriends" or international workers in the C&MA. We also support our international ministry by giving $1.00 of each ticket sold at Girls Night Out for a project overseas. This year that money will go to teach and train local nurses at the Women's and Children's Hospital in Mali, West Africa.

Hands of Hope
Do you crochet, knit, or quilt? Do you have a heart for prayer and comfort for others? Our ministry members meet together on a regular basis to pray and create baby blankets and prayer shawls for those in our church family who need encouragement and comfort. If you want to share your skill or are interested in learning more, contact Pam Schuck at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. If you have a heart to give, Hands of Hope welcomes donations of fabric and yarn.
Meals Ministry Through a team of wonderful volunteers, our Meals Ministry provides meals to the people of Hope Church in times of need...after the birth of a baby, after surgery or hospitalization, or during times of crisis. The Meals Ministry is an excellent way to meet other people from church and make a difference in someone’s life. In times of need, a friendly face and a meal are true gifts! How does it work? The Meals Ministry Coordinator, Sharon Klaehn, is made aware of a need, either through a direct request for help or through referral. Volunteers are then contacted and asked to provide a meal (home cooked or purchased) and deliver it to the recipient’s home. If you would like to join the Meals Ministry Team or would like more information, please contact the Hope Church office or Sharon Klaehn at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
