Kid's Hope USA

Kid's Hope USAWould you like to make a real and lasting difference in a child's life?  Then join us in our partnership with Kids Hope USA (KHUSA) at our adopted school,  Applewood Elementary.

KHUSA is a national mentoring program based on the principle of one.  One church adopts one school, one mentor meets with one child for one hour each week during the regular school day.  Much can be accomplished in that single hour.  The encouragement that a child gets from the undivided attention of a caring adult is priceless and permanent.

Requirements to become a mentor:  application, personal reference, interview, background check (finger printing), training and school orientation.

There are other options available to help out in this partnership.  Each mentor needs a prayer partner, there are administrative positions to fill, and help will be needed periodically for special events.  Donations of supplies or monetary contributions are always welcomed.
